Meiling Lee

Powder-coated aluminium

This works explores the idea of migrating birds who would return to the place of their birth  year-after-year. The memory of their first home, helps to guide them back to the nesting place on the hillside  to raise their young. These balls allude to the eggs of these birds.

Meiling Lee  works with a broad range of media to explore ideas of home in relationship to the world. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts and has just completed a Masters of Fine Arts at RMIT, Melbourne.

Lee thanks Bruce Trethewey, Ron Sang and Darryl Sang for their assistance.
